Liam is our Business & Operations Manager. Joining the team in July 2024 after 10 years in the Civil Service, Liam brings his experience in operations, project and people management to the charity sector and you’ll see him on-site most days. Liam manages the building itself, safety and compliance, room hire and our staff team. Outside of 422, Liam loves spending time with his wife and 2 children, and taking the dog for long walks!
Hannah is our Community Engagement Manager and joined the team in March 2025. Hannah's role is to let as many people as possible know about the brilliant things we have on offer at 422, and to make sure we're doing things that the community want and need. With a background in community projects and community centre management, Hannah knows the importance of listening to the community and making sure they shape the work we do. Outside of 422 Hannah is a busy Mum and carer. She loves hosting parties and feeding people. Her greatest wish is that Manchester was by the sea so she could combine 2 of her favourite things - the city she loves and the beach.
Bonita is our Project Co-Ordinator, looking after all of our projects and our wonderful team of volunteers. She joined the staff team in January 2026, having previously been part of the Stay and Play team and various other projects since 2022. Bonita has spent most of her career before 422 working with families and children with additional needs and is passionate about learning through play. She loves spending time with her family, friends and baking.
Lucy is our Administrator and Social Media Manager, having joined the team in December 2025. Lucy brings a strong background in office management, facilities, and media planning, with experience gained at major advertising agencies and working with well-known household brands. Lucy’s role is to help 422 run smoothly, manage room bookings and our in-house marketing, supporting the growth of 422 within the wider community. Outside of 422, Lucy enjoys trips to the cinema, live gigs, and spending time with her dog (or any dog, really) and her favourite film is Star Wars!
Kate has been running the Pantry at 422 since May 2022. She loves welcoming people into the space and is passionate about making sure the community feels at home and proud of 422. One of her proudest talents is she can devour a packet of biscuits faster than most people can make a cup of tea! Outside of 422, Kate runs a business with her husband, is a mum to two daughters, and enjoys growing things in the garden.
Carmen runs the English Language Cafe which has been welcoming people since July 2022. She loves helping others and talking about herself in third person. You'll find her in the 422 Cafe on Monday afternoons in front of the whiteboard!
Bea is part of the Stay & Play and GrowBaby team at 422, where she enjoys welcoming families and helping to create a space for play and building community. Outside of 422, Bea works as a Business Development Administrator and enjoys homemaking in her downtime.
