The 422 Pantry supports families and individuals who are referred to us because they are experiencing food poverty. As members they make a £1 membership contribution and receive 10 items of food and essentials each week for six months, we are currently taking referrals, so if you work with people in Longsight and Ardwick experiencing food poverty, we would love to hear from you, simply complete the referral form below

You can also support the 422 Pantry by donating sealed, in-date, ambient food or essential items to the Pantry. This can be done in a number of ways:

  1. Give through our Amazon Prime Wishlist. Items can be delivered directly to 422!
  2. Drop items off at Manchester Vineyard’s Sunday venue every Sunday
  3. Drop items off at 422 Community Hub during our core opening hours (Monday-Friday 08:30am-5pm)

Adding on a couple of items from the list below to your weekly shop and donating them would be incredibly helpful. Many of our families choose to eat Halal food and so we avoid pork-based items. We’ll keep this list updated:

  • Tinned items: Tomatoes, tuna, chickpeas, tinned meals, fruit
  • Sundries such as rice, pasta & noodles
  • Jars of cooking sauces
  • Baby food
  • Cereal bars and boxes
  • Treats (cakes, biscuits, chocolate bars etc.)
  • Long life milk
  • Tea & Coffee
  • Nappies or pull-ups
  • Baby wipes
  • Sanitary towels (night time and heavy)
  • Tena ladies (or other brands)
  • Toiletries such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, hand wash etc.

Your support is much appreciated!

422 Pantry Referral Form
The 422 Pantry seeks to alleviate the impact of food scarcity for residents of Ardwick & Longsight in need. The Pantry offers people the dignity of choice when experiencing economic hardship. By joining as a member for (a voluntary contribution) of £1 a week, members can come along and choose 10 items of food and other goods such as toiletries and cleaning products.
